The verification of Teruel Airport for public uses was issued by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA), on 5th February, 2013. The permission to air operations was given by the DGAC and the Government of Aragon on 28 February 2013. It is recalled that the airport is not authorized for passenger traffic.
Teruel Airport has a platform area in front of the aircraft maintenance hangar with two aircraft parking bays for aircrafts type B747 or six positions for type A320.
Furthermore, the airport has a parking platform for helicopters, which is currently used by 112 medical service helicopter and forestry helicopter.
