14TH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF AEROMODELLING IN THE AIRPORT OF TERUEL

The Airport of Teruel was the venue for the 14th International Festival of Aeromodelling, which took place over the weekend of 10th and 11th June 2017.

The festival was organised by the aeromodelling club Alas Aragonesas. Moreover, the theme of this year was Large Scale. Therefore, there were model aeroplanes with wingspans from 3 to 9 metres and their weights could vary from 18 to 50 kilogrammes.

A total of 180 model aeroplanes and 150 pilots were gathered in the Airport of Teruel during those days. Regarding the origin of the pilots, it was diverse because they came from different autonomous communities, such as Aragon, Madrid, the Valencian Community, Catalonia, Extremadura, the Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, Galicia, Andalusia, and the Basque Country. And there were even pilots from other countries like France and Portugal.

Over the weekend, the people who went to the Airport of Teruel could see the scheduled flights conducted by the different participants.
